GAS HOT WATER
Did you know in Queensland, Gas hot water systems are run from LPG gas? We do not have reticulated gas, so the gas is supplied by LPG storage bottles.
If you are
considering making the change to gas, you need to make
sure your new system complies with Australian standards. Our Licenced Gasfitters can take care of that.
They can also conduct a site assessment to let
you know where it’s best to position your new gas hot water system.

Unlike storage systems the water is only heated as required. Meaning
the heating starts when you turn on the hot water tap.
Power outage, Continuous flow hot water systems are connected to a power
point to run the ignition system. So, in the event of a power outage or
power interruption, you won’t have any hot water.

No hot water? If you have recently run out of
gas or changed bottles and have no hot water, your Gas system may have gone into ‘Lock out.’ This can happen if there is an
interruption with the gas supply.
It can be easily fixed by turning off the power for 30 seconds, then turning back on and running your hot water tap.
